Zangala's Story
Dedicated to Dagara Youth, Wisdom, & Culture
Zangala: A Home for Spirit
Within each Dagara family "House" there is a Zangala.
The Zangala is a place for ancestor shrines, where children sleep, where harvests are processed and grain is stored. The Zangala roof is a place for feasts, ceremonies, dancing, and social gatherings. It is the center of activity, and a home for Spirit.
And so, it a fitting namesake to honor our mission as we aspire to protect, preserve, and regenerate the ancient wisdom of the Dagara culture. To do so, we have built an organization that is a center of activity, a home for spirit, and a gathering place for kindred spirits aligned to support our mission.
